Brow Grooming
'The Works'
This treatment is a combination of brow mapping, advanced tinting, a combination of hair removal techniques and brow styling to customise the ideal shape to suit your facial structure.
- Consultation is where your appointment starts. It gives me an opportunity to find out a little bit about you, your brow likes and dislikes. As I am chatting to you, I assess your face and how it moves through expression.
- Design methods may be carried out using scientific brow measuring methods that create the perfect length and position of the brow. This measuring method gives me the ideal structure and symmetry to the face.
- Advanced tinting is done to enhance the brow hairs, which in return gives us more brow hairs to work with when trying to create the ideal shape.
- Crafting the shape by getting rid of excess hair, using brow hair removal techniques such as wax and thread.
- Customise the brow to the ideal shape for you with precision tweezing, trimming.
- Brow styling is then carried out using our awesome brow makeup product line. Here is where I take your brows to a whole new level and teach you how you can maintain the finished results at home.
- Aftercare advice is given to you to help you get longer-lasting results for your brow.
- The full Works treatment is a 30-minute appointment from start to finish.
- You can expect to return for the full Works treatment every 4 to 6 weeks, however, some people may need a maintenance treatment between the 4 to 6 weeks due to faster hair growth needing to be removed.
'The Works' pre procedure advice
- To get the best out of your brows it’s important to grow your eyebrow hairs out for at least four weeks, this will give your Browjam artist something to work with.
- When making a booking for your eyebrow treatment you will be required to pop into the salon for a patch test, this will be done 48 hours prior to your treatment.
- Avoid using exfoliators or any products that contain AHA, fruit acids or glycolic. Avoid using sunbeds one week prior to your treatment. These treatments can send the skin and make it more sensitive to wax.
- Avoid fake tanning three days prior to your treatment. Fake tanning products can alter the colour and once waxed you could be left with white patches around your eyebrow with the wax has lifted.
'The Works' aftercare
- Wash your hands before scratching or touching the area.
- No extreme heat treatments (e.g. very hot baths or showers, saunas, steam rooms) or swimming for 24 hours.
- Avoid exercise or anything that makes you sweat for 24 hours.
- Do not apply any perfumed products to the area for 24 hours.
- Avoid the use of make-up around the brows for 24 hours.
- No sunbathing (including sun beds or any other exposure to UV light) or self-tanning products to the area for 48 hours. Sun/UV lights can cause the tint to fade faster and self-tanning products may alter the tint colour.
- The use of harsh cleansing products could prematurely reduce your brow tint. Avoid the use of such products at all in between treatments to prolong the colour retention of your tint.
- Do not pluck or tweeze in-between appointments particularly in areas where your therapist has advised re-growth.
Brow Rehab
Brow rehab is where brows go to recover from over-plucking, bad waxing and bad brow service. In brow rehab, we encourage and support you with a grow-in programme where we banish you from tweezers, suggest the best grow-in product and let only us maintain your eyebrows. We make all the changes necessary using The Works treatment and create the vision for your ideal future brows, so you can see the future brow goals and keep the positivity and momentum going through brow rehabilitation.
Full brow recovery can take up to 6 months so be patient! There’s a small percentage of people who will never recover from bad waxing and over plucking, this is where Microblading is an option.
